"One of the grandest restaurant settings in Atlanta is the City Grill, on several levels of a former Federal Reserve Bank downtown....The space is stately, spacious, and serene...City Grill's interpretation of new Southern cooking is equally refined." --New York Times
As diners enter City Grill through the magnificently renovated rotunda and ascending marble staircase, they will pass into one of Atlanta's most architecturally beautiful spaces.
Originally the Federal Reserve Bank for the Southeast, built in 1912, City Grill's dining room has the feel of opulence and grandeur often found in old, established clubs and hotels in New York and Europe. The restaurant is elegantly decorated with lush fabrics, soft leathers, warm wools, marble columns, and Italian chandeliers hanging from the dining room's thirty-foot gilt accented ceiling. The walls are dramatically covered in a floor to ceiling hand-painted woodland mural.
We pride ourselves on our impeccable service and attention to detail. We tailor the dining experience to each guest making special arrangements when requested. Some suggestions for your next visit: For a romantic dinner, a couple could reserve the Hurt Room and enjoy a private romantic dinner for two with their own waitstaff, a special romantic menu, and a violinist. Or, for a small Business Meeting over dinner, request a balcony table where you are still in the main dining room, but have a little more privacy to discuss confidential matters.
